Dark clouds are filling my horizon
Icy winds are blowing through my heart
Violent thoughts are raging through my inner mind
I think my boat's about to break apart

Calm my storm - take command of my emotions
Calm my storm - give my mind some space
Calm my storm - fill my heart with devotion
Calm my storm - through Your Saving Grace
Calm my storm - life can be hard to adjust to
Calm my storm - Lord, gently heal the pain
Calm my storm - Lord you know I really trust You
Calm my storm - make me whole again

Thought I was self contained and clever
Thought I could do it on my own
But now I realize how weak I am
I'm in the biggest mess I've known

Calm my storm - take command of my emotions
Calm my storm - give my mind some space
Calm my storm - fill my heart with devotion
Calm my storm - through Your Saving Grace
Calm my storm - life can be hard to adjust to
Calm my storm - Lord, gently heal the pain
Calm my storm - Lord you know I really trust You
Calm my storm - make me whole again

How I am longing for those clouds to go
I seek the ending of the night
I seek the warmth of Your Salvation
I seek the brightness of Your Light

Calm my storm - take command of my emotions
Calm my storm - give my mind some space
Calm my storm - fill my heart with devotion
Calm my storm - through Your Saving Grace
Calm my storm - life can be hard to adjust to
Calm my storm - Lord, gently heal the pain
Calm my storm - Lord you know I really trust You
Calm my storm - make me whole again

Luke 8:22-25

One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, "Let us go across to the other side of the lake." So they set out, and as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger. And they went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm. He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, "Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?"
